Kehinde Micheal Osatuyi
Born into a family with strong cultural roots and deep faith, I stand proud of my Yoruba heritage and Nigeria upbringing. I grew up surrounded by traditions that taught me the value of family, responsibility, and compassion for others. As a twin my name Kehinde means the “second-born” and carries spiritual significance reflecting my calling to follow the Lord with wisdom, strength, and service.
Having a passion for caring for people, especially the vulnerable and overlooked, led me into the field of healthcare and humanitarian work where my compassion for others grew and I found my purpose. My heart for the vulnerable soon expanded beyond Nigeria when I landed in South Africa for post grad education in 2018 in Cape Town, SA. Experiencing a life altering mugging and temporal homelessness in South Africa, even before arriving in Cape Town, brought me to understand the homeless on a heart level.
When COVID hit in 2020, I began serving the homeless food from my kitchen, and this simple act soon grew into developing and co-founding a community kitchen that served, educated, and cared for people in homelessness and people with disabilities. In 2023 I felt God was leading me to end my time in South Africa and take a step of faith into the next chapter, and in the midst of that transition I met Jessie and knew my next chapter was in serving others together.
I joined Jessie in eSwatini, where together we do God’s kingdom work advocating for inclusive development, growing economic development, supporting children with disabilities, youth mentorship, and serving underserved communities in eSwatini. Our dream of Palm Grove Health and Wellness Initiative is rooted in holistic healing — physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, and relational. I believe every person deserves to be seen, heard, and known.
One way we support our children living with disability is to help create opportunity for access to quality healthcare. We did that this week by getting two of our kids with epilepsy, Seluleko (on mom’s back) and Ngcebo (last photo), back on their seizure medications!
Now Ngcebo is on her way to being able to go back to school and Seluleko will hopefully be able to make it through each day seizure free 🙌🏼
Access to healthcare for our kids and families can be really hard because of how rurual their communities are, lack of medication resources in these communities, and the costs. We’re love to assist in helping close the gaps for children like these two ♥️🌴
